Drawbacks of using Mpesa Paybill
You don’t have to press okay-When you do automatic bill payment, the money will go out of account whether you want it or not to. There is no mechanism in place to keep your account from being overdrawn; this can lead to bouncing of checks and overdraft fees, particularly if several bills hit your account at the same time.
You don’t feel the pain of your money. When you pay bills through the phone, you don’t have to be looking at the bill or writing checks, however, you don’t feel the pain of money leaving your hands. This can create a false sense of financial security.
You can get too lazy. When you are not used to paying the bills yourself, you can be lazy with your money. You can stop reviewing bills to make sure they’re correct. You can forget why you are trying to get out of debt every time.Â
The Verdict
Whether you pay your bills manually or use automatic withdrawal, you still need to be realistic about making and keeping a budget for your expenditure. This simple habit will make you avoid being broke and will keep you on track and out of trouble. It makes every coin accountable and gives boundaries for your spending on every activity.
Thank you, I like it!
